Safety information

Read and follow this safety information before using your Trust product. These are minimal precautions for safe usage of your Trust product, however all other sensible safety precautions which are not mentioned here must be taken into account as well.


All devices

• Failure to properly set up, use and care of the product can give a risk of serious injury or damage to the device.
• Don’t use the device in any way other as mentioned in the user’s guide.
• The device is intended for home or office use, except when otherwise indicated.
• Only use accessories specified by the manufacturer.
• Do not open, disassemble, change, damage or repair this device.
• Do not use the device in a damp environment or near water.
• Clean the device with a dry cloth. Unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet before cleaning.
• Don’t place the device near any heat source (like radiators) or (open) flame sources (like lighted candles).
• Do not place the product on an unstable table or any other unstable stand.
• Keep the device and all loose parts away from children and pets.
• Don’t sharply bend, cut, extend, knot, step on or use the (power) cables in any way other as mentioned in the user’s guide.
• Keep the device away from heat.
• When disconnecting (power) cables, don’t pull on the cord but on the plug.
• If a device is damaged in any way, stop using it immediately.
• If a device gets hot, stop using it immediately and remove the power source.
• When using a computer or notebook, you may experience any discomfort in or strains in your body. If this happens, stop using the computer or notebook and see a doctor.
• Take all precautions about ergonomics into account (for example correct body position, amount of time working between breaks, working place, atmosphere, etc.). Ask a doctor or other qualified health person for advice.
• After handling the products, wash your hands.
• Trust will not be liable for any damage caused by incorrect or improper use of the product.
• Trust will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage whatsoever.


AC-Powered devices

• Use only the power supply unit that came with your device.
• Only use AC power provided by a standard wall outlet.
• Place the product near a wall outlet which is easily accessible.
• Confirm that the wall outlet provides the same type of power indicated on the power supply unit, both Voltage [V] and frequency [Hz].
• Don’t overload your wall outlet.
• Before use, make sure the power supply unit, the attached cable and the wall outlet are not damaged in any way.
• If the AC power cord is separate from the power supply/device, first connect the AC power cord to the power supply/device, and then plug the other end of the AC power cord into the wall outlet.
• During lightning disconnect the device.
• Disconnect the device when you don’t use it for a longer time.


Battery powered devices

• If batteries are not properly used, this can result in overheating, fluid leakage or explosion of the batteries.
• Make sure the batteries have been put in correctly in the product, by checking the internal markings and the manual.
• When replacing the batteries, only use batteries of the same type and rating as the batteries provided.
• For rechargeable batteries: charge only with the charger provided with the product.
• Remove the batteries when you don’t use the device for a longer time.
• Remove the batteries if they are worn out, old or weak.
• Don’t open batteries, heat them or put them in fire.
• Don’t mix new and old batteries or batteries of different types.
• If batteries are leaking, don’t touch the batteries or leaking fluids and avoid contact with your skin or clothes. Don’t use the device anymore.
• Observe local regulations when disposing of batteries.


Wireless devices (radio frequency)

• Reduced wireless performance can be caused by:
- Metal objects close to or between the receiver and transmitter
- Empty batteries
- Other wireless devices close by
- The reception is limited when the signal must pass through concrete walls and floors
• There is no guarantee that RF interference won’t occur in a particular situation.
• Be careful when using wireless devices if you have a pacemaker or are dependent on other life-saving, sensitive electronic equipment, because the device transmits radio signals.
• Turn the device off (if it has an on/off switch) or remove the batteries before boarding an aircraft.


Laser devices

• Don’t stare into the laser beam.
• Don’t point the laser beam to anyone’s eyes.
• Don’t point the laser beam at a mirror or mirror-like surface to prevent laser reflections pointing to anyone’s eyes.
• Don’t scratch the lens.


Battery chargers

• Never put non-rechargeable batteries in a battery charger.
• Charge the rechargeable batteries only with the battery charger provided with the product.


Desksets, Keyboards, Keypads, Mice, Tablets, Trackballs, Game controllers

• When using a deskset, keyboard, keypad, mouse, tablet, game controller or any other input device, you may experience any discomfort in or strains in your body. If this happens, stop using the product and see a doctor. Also when this occurs when you are not working at your computer.
• Take all precautions about ergonomics into account (for example correct body position, amount of time working between breaks, working place, atmosphere, etc.). Ask a doctor or other qualified health person for advice.
• Take frequent short breaks and vary your tasks frequently.


Headsets

• Start the product with the volume control at its lowest setting.
• Slowly increase the volume to a comfortable level.
• Set the volume not too loud to prevent damaging your ears. You must be able to hear conversations around you when using the headset.
• If you experience discomfort in your ears, reduce the volume or stop using the product and have your hearing checked.


Interface cards + PSU’s

• Before opening the PC case, make sure the power cables are disconnected.
• Be careful when opening the PC case and placing the product inside.
• Only use undamaged and good quality tools intended for the use to open and close the PC case.
• Don’t touch any other parts inside the PC case except as mentioned in the user’s guide.


Modems

• If you have an internet subscription to pay per minute, make sure the internet connection is broken when you are finished. Do this by either switching off the modem with the on/off switch or removing the power cable from the wall outlet.


Notebook carry bags

• Don’t put an excessive load in the bag.


Power adapters

• If the power adapter has a switch to change the power output, make sure the switch is set to the correct power.


Speakers

• Start the product with the volume control at its lowest setting.

• Set the volume not too loud to prevent damaging your ears. You must be able to hear conversations around you when using the speaker.
• If you experience discomfort in your ears, reduce the volume or stop using the product and have your hearing checked.


Surge products / UPS

• Don’t use in life support situations or other situations where the failure of the product can lead to damage or unacceptable risks.
